Free Seminar for supporting the recruitment of foreign students 〈Emergency conference〉 Investigating the latest foreign student "acquisition" circumstances.
After the Great East Japan earthquake disaster, the environment that surrounded Japanese people and foreign students in Japan changed suddenly, and many foreign students left Japan and their studies after this day. After the earthquake, still just over six months ago, the number of foreign students visiting Japan has not yet recovered, with the number of Japanese language school students who plan to enroll in October this year being 25% less than last year. After foreign students study at Japanese language schools, they usually take foreign student examinations to enter their desired universities or graduate schools. This means that as the number of new students to Japanese language schools decreases there is a reduction in the studying abroad market in Japan. Given the current situation, it is realistic to assume that the the sharp decrease in the number of foreign students wanting to go to universities or graduate schools will continue into 2013. This seminar will introduce the latest trends of foreign students hoping to study abroad and provide practical examples and know-how as to attracting and aquiring foreign students.Date and time : Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 14:00 to 16:00
